The 9è Journée pédagogique nationale en formation professionnelle is a virtual event that brings together the professional training community in Quebec.  The day is organized by the Conseil pédagogique interdisciplinaire du Québec (CPIQ) in collaboration with many Associations. A member of the Quebec Advisory Council on Vocational Training (QACVE), a subcommittee of PROCEDE, represents the English-speaking sector.

Breast Cancer Fundraiser

On Sunday, August 24, students and staff from the Gordon Robertson Beauty Academy came together at the Pointe-Claire Canoe Club for an inspiring dragon boat race. For months, they dedicated their time and energy to raising funds for the West Island Dragons—a team that paddles not only for sport, but as a joyful celebration of life and a powerful reminder that healthy, active living is possible after breast cancer.

The Hats Off to You! contest and its Excellence in Science segment showcase the determination and work of women enrolled in a vocational training or technical training program, or a bachelor’s program in science or engineering that leads to a career in a traditionally male-dominated occupation.  This year, 66 candidates won one of the many Awards offered by the contest.

LBPSB Electricity and Plumbing Students Compete at 17th Edition of the Olympiades Québecoises

The 17th edition of the Olympiades québécoises des métiers et des technologies took place at the beginning of May in Quebec City. It is the biggest competition dedicated to trades in the province and two LBPSB vocational students participated in this intense two-day competition.

Team Québec 2025 - OQMT

The performance of 47 competitors at the 2025 Olympiades Québécoises des métiers et des technologies not only earned them a podium finish, but also, for many, a spot on the provincial elite team: Team Quebec.
