Vocational Olympiads new cycle

PROCEDE - February 18, 2021 - 0 comments

The calendar of the Quebec Olympics is entering a new cycle. On November 3, after consulting the 85 members of the organization, WorldSkills authorities decided to postpone the 46th WorldSkills Competition (Shanghai, China) from October 12 to 17, 2022. As a result, the 47th WorldSkills Competition (Lyon, France) initially planned for 2023 has been postponed to 2024.

This postponement of the 46th World Skills Competition has the effect of shifting the periodicity of the international competition which now passes to even years. This inevitably influences the cycle of the Quebec Olympics and the process of selecting finalists for the World Cup. In order to facilitate understanding of these changes, here is a timeline explaining the movement of the Olympics and the new dates of upcoming events.
